After nine years of trying to conceive I had convinced myself not to take a pregnancy test unless I was several days late. Early (2:26 AM) Sunday morning I woke up thinking, "okay I'll take the test". Much to my surprise it read pregnant. I was elated. I wrapped myself up in a hug wishing that I could hug God because I knew that this precious gift was from Him. ("Don't you see that children are God's best gift? The fruit of the womb his generous legacy?" Psalm 127:3 The Message) I was so thankful as I sat there and prayed for this baby growing inside of me. When I returned to bed I noticed the time and debated whether or not to wake Chip up with the news. After a few minutes I just couldn't hold in the excitement... He woke up with a start thinking something was wrong... "I'm pregnant!" "Really?" "Yes, really." Before I knew it I was wrapped up in his arms as we marveled together about our answered prayer.
